A Recent Study on Remediation of Direct Blue 15 Dye Using Halloysite Nanotubes

A set of lab-scale experiments were designed and conducted to remedy Direct Blue 15 (DB15) dye using nontoxic halloysite nanotubes (HNT) with the view be utilized in a textile industrial effluent (TIE). The DB15 adsorbed-HNT “sludge” was used as reinforcing agent plastic waste fabricate composite. To advance knowledge further understand chemical phenomena associated adsorption on HNT, different factors like pH value, adsorbate initial concentration, adsorbent dosage, temperature composite affected experimentally tested. estimate capacity nine isotherm models applied, it identified that Brouers–Sotolongo model represented best accuracy for predicting behavior HNT. Likewise, pseudo-second-order reaction predominant mechanism overall rate multi-step process. Additionally, demonstrated mass transfer during process is diffusion-controlled, thermodynamic assessments showed physisorption.
